It's pretty easy to find beauty in the nature of early spring, especially in New England. It never ceases to take my breath away. Some people refer to these moments of subtle (yet sweet) awe as "glimmers" or "microjoys".
These purple crocuses were the first flowers I saw this spring, and it struck me that amongst the dry, fall leaves and the hard stone wall, lies such stunning brilliance and hope! Orange stamen and ombre purple petals...so glorious on a grey day.
Don't they seem excited to share their vibrance?
